10 Mar Bret R. Carter and Michele B. Friend Join Clark & Trevithick
LOS ANGELES – March 9, 2017 – Clark & Trevithick is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys – Bret R. Carter and Michele B. Friend. Bret joins the firm as a member of its Trusts & Estates department, and Michele joins as a member of its Litigation department.
With 29 years of experience, Bret concentrates his practice on estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters. He also advises his clients in corporate, business, and real estate transactions, providing them with comprehensive guidance and representation.
Bret earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was a member of The Order of Barristers and The Moot Court Board. He is an active member of numerous community affairs groups, including the Los Angeles Venture Capital Association, Apartment Owner’s Association of Greater Los Angeles, and Rotary Club of Santa Monica. Michele brings with her nearly 20 years of experience handling many of the diverse legal issues involving a business. Her areas of expertise include business dissolutions, trade secrets, real estate, employment, contracts, fiduciary duty, fraud, trademarks and rights of privacy. Michele is a trial lawyer that is also skilled in transactional matters. Prior to practicing law, Michele became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio and worked in commercial real estate. She maintains her CPA license although she no longer practices accounting.
Michele currently serves as President of the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs, is a member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and is a pro bono volunteer for the Alliance of Children’s Rights.
